We are a multi-disciplinary 100% artist run initiative. A group of fabulous creatives, giving each other a hand up to build something special. A constantly moving feast...This space contains the weird & wild imaginings of a collective of outsider artists. Come enter our world...if you dare
Our collective headed up by artist Andy J Crowder, has successfully collected itself. We held three great fun exhibitions during February to April 2026 in our pop up space in Anzac Square, Melbourne. Now we've manifested here as an online art space. So you can keep up with what's happening. If you’re a voyeur of art and artists you’re going to want to pop back here regularly as we manifest online…and to see what's next...
Scroll down to meet the artists. Click on their profile photo to read more about each one. Check back in to see our next adventures in art.
My art is something that evolved out of graffiti and comics, into band posters, and always painting… I have moved into the realm of what I call ‘existential symbolism’ along with some realism plucked from life, from what I see, where I go …
I also do Sculptures carved from wood, and recycled materials…art has a healing and visionary effect on me …
Paint on my fingers, it flows through my veins, I paint so to stop from going insane. A creature emerges, sinful or true? A woman appears, but is still and quite blue. There's something not right with the child underneath. There's a deer with sharp blood-soaked jagged teeth. A beautiful lily, it sprouts from her skin as I silence the screaming and laughter within. I also paint pets, or a rose for your mum to quiet the chatter; I paint for the fun.

Trevor Hoppen is a composer of the expressionist style familiar to the 1930’s & 40’s. His bold and full-colour, expressionist paintings are reminiscent of a bygone era when abstraction was experimental.
Kaleidoscopes often feature in Hoppens work...someone said to me, “It’s all about scopes for you, the eye—piece…they have been an ongoing theme in my work...I am influenced by Kandinsky and my peers.” Trevor Hoppen

Andrew Grimmer combines technical excellence (he began painting training at 8), knowledge of art history and visual storytelling to create works that are both visually appealing and intellectually stimulating.
His influences come from the Renaissance as well as from more modern masters, such as Vincent Van Gogh, Salvador Dali and Jackson Pollack.
He interprets his reverence in a thoroughly modern and original way. From making his own paint brushes to combining modern mediums.
His latest series of paintings are inspired by his time and travels in Poland (We’ll tell you more about this later!). While he continues with an emphasis on symbolism, he articulates it with a much more abstract and free-flowing approach.
(Andrew would like to credit writer & poet Andrea Louise Thomas for his biography)

My art is pure creative experimentation with whatever I can get my hands on.
Ruby Hoppen born in 1989, is a Naarm based artist, working mostly with textiles and paint. She is a single mother of two and a founding member of the World’s Worst Wagga quilting guild.
Her aim is to work towards an exploration of symbolism through the production of textile based works. Her quilts seek to scrutinise the cultural and socio-political inconsistencies within officially documented textile history. In searching for symbolic representation when making a quilt, she seeks guidance from oral literature and superstition. The work is a result of following guidelines and systems handed down for thousands of years, this imbues a deeper meaning and a more figurative reading of the work than if it were purely abstract. The quilts speak as an idea of a traditional method and material nature that has been metamorphosed into something new, a visual language that can link people to their past, present and futures.
Louise Chen has nurtured a passion for the arts for as long as she can remember. A passion first inspired by her grandparents and continuously encouraged by her family.
Louise's experience in photography has shaped her artistic habits and visual approach. She has recently been focussing on the still life genre in both paintings and photographs, drawing on her study of Flemish techniques and Renaissance-style lighting in studio photography. Louise naturally translates these to methods in her painting practise.
She is particularly drawn to the use of dramatic lighting, deep shadows and rich saturated colours.
Louise's recent works focus on emulating a studio aesthetic, where composition, light, texture and rich colour work in harmony.
Each piece reflects a meticulous, hands-on approach, rooted in both technical precision and a deep rooted appreciation for traditional craftsmanship.
